Listing Fee

Once we bring you a customer who purchases a retreat, there is a standard commission.

If they pay through you directly, we’ll send an invoice for the standard 15% commission.

If they pay through us, we get a 15% commission and the payment processing fee on the deposit. There is a small payout fee when we send you the money.

To put it simply, we go out and get you customers. Then we put money right into your account.

We process payments on an airtight and secure platform that ensures you can leave the stress of payments behind you.

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked by retreat owners. Enjoy :)

How do fees work on BookRetreats?

Adding a retreat on is 100% free. We only get paid if you get paid, so there is no risk involved.

There are two basic fees if someone pays for a retreat through our system: commission and payment processing.

Once we help you get a customer that buys a retreat and pays through our system, we keep a standard 15% commission on the total retreat price.

A standard 3% payment processing fee on any payments that are processed through our system will be deducted from the payout we send you. This is a processing fee that all processors like Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal apply to purchases.

There is a bank transfer/paypal payout processing fee which will be deducted from the amount we transfer over to you.

All the rest goes directly into your account.

If someone comes through our system but pays you directly, we simply send you an invoice for the 15% commission.

How do I get paid?

We allow you to set your desired deposit amount for your retreat with the recommended range being between 15% and 25%. This strikes a great balance between increasing sales, and still ensuring committed students.

Our commission is kept from the deposit, and the remaining balance minus processing fees is paid directly to you.

Please note that we send payments once a minimum balance of US $30 is reached. This saves transfer fees for you. If you’d like to receive your payout earlier, please contact our support team.

Once someone books a retreat, we hold the money in escrow until they arrive at your retreat center. We’ll then pay it out into your account. We do payments twice a month, on the 1st and 15th.

We find this is the best way to ensure a fair and honest transaction for both sides.

When signing up, you can choose from a few different options to receive payouts including wire transfer, bank transfer and PayPal. Each one has different fees associated with it, so make sure to choose with that understanding in mind.

Overall, we try to take away the stress and complication of dealing with payments.

Can I talk directly with people who enquire?

Yep. When someone enquires or books your retreat, you’ll get a notification directly in your inbox. You can reply right from there...nice and convenient.

You also have the option of communicating inside your admin dashboard if you like.

Can I control my own listing?


We know how important it is to control how you and your retreat is presented.

We’ll approve it once it’s submitted to make sure it’s got all the elements of an optimized listing.
